Assistant Property Manager — Affordable Housing

Minneapolis–St. Paul Metro | $23–$27/hour

Career Strategies is seeking an Assistant Property Manager with Affordable Housing experience for an immediate placement within the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro. We are a full-service property management staffing company , and we partner with top communities across the Twin Cities to connect skilled professionals with long-term opportunities.

Position Overview

This role supports daily property operations and requires hands-on experience with HUD , Section 8 , LIHTC , or other affordable housing programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and excels in both resident relations and administrative compliance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily property management operations and resident relations
• Process certifications/recertifications and ensure compliance with all affordable housing requirements
• Manage rent collections, notices, and ledger accuracy
• Support leasing: tours, applications, move-ins, and documentation
• Maintain complete, audit-ready compliance and resident files
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and applicants
• Work closely with the Property Manager to support reporting and vendor coordination

Qualifications

• Affordable Housing experience required (HUD, Section 8, LIHTC, etc.)
• Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and operate independently
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage, or MRI preferred

Pay & Schedule

• $23–$27/hour , depending on experience
• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Opportunities available across the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro
