Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Biomedical Software Engineer / Staining Software Engineer, Associate to design and develop innovative staining procedures in collaboration with assay development teams. This role requires strong programming skills, experience with software databases, and the ability to deliver high-quality projects in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Job Duration: 12 months with possible ext

Notes:

• This is a hybrid position. Candidates will be required to be in the Tucson office Tuesday - Thursday, and will be allowed to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays

Job Summary:

• Designs and develops staining procedures in close partnership with assay development.
• Develops software supplements that install staining procedures along with the underlying database elements required to support staining procedure(s) in the software application.
• Delivers projects on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentored on the use of software tools and editing staining procedures
• Monitors work to ensure quality and continuously promote Quality First Time.

Skill Set Requirements

• Experience with Programming
• Strong leadership and organizational
• Ability to plan project components and effectively report status to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of creating software documentation for a medical device.
• Knowledge of software databases
• Experience with scripting languages - SQL-ite is preferred, but other scripting languages will be accepted
• Ability to create project documentation that is complete, consistent, and usable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of or familiarity with project management tools (such as Smart Sheets, MS Project, or Trello).
• Ability to create/edit written procedures and document work accurately.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver projects on time.
• Information Security and Data Privacy fundamentals
• Having a background in biology or chemistry would be helpful to understand the science involved with the process

Education

• Must have a 4 year degree - preferably in Engineering (preferred), Biology, or Chemistry
