Crane Operator - Commercial Roofing

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our commercial roofing team. The Crane Operator will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, and position roofing materials and equipment on job sites. This role requires precision, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with roofing crews and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cranes to safely lift and transport roofing materials and equipment to designated areas on commercial job sites.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines while operating cranes and working on-site.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and crew members to ensure efficient material placement.
• Maintain accurate logs of crane operations and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and securing loads as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid Crane Operator Certification (NCCCO or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating cranes in construction or roofing environments.
• Strong understanding of load charts, rigging, and signaling procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting crews.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with all regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial roofing or construction projects .
• CDL license for operating and transporting crane equipment.
