Commercial Door Installer - Career Opportunity - San Diego, CA

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Door Installer with 3-5 years of Commercial experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various door, frame, and hardware systems and ensuring compliance with ADA and fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Install doors, frames, and hardware systems across San Diego County.
• Ensure compliance with ADA and Fire Code regulations.
• Apply knowledge of BHMA and ANSI finish designations.
• Work with hollow metal, knock-down aluminum, and wood frames.
• Install architectural flush wood doors and stile and rail doors.
• Handle both electrified and mechanical hardware installations.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in door installation.
• Experience with frame installations using hollow metal and knock-down aluminum.
• Knowledge of architectural flush and stile & rail type doors.
• Proficiency in electrified and mechanical hardware.
• Ability to lead a team and manage job layouts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication and installation.
• Material management and interpretation of hardware schedules and project drawings.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Understanding of door/frame/hardware standards and tolerances.
• Keying systems knowledge (preferred).
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification (preferred).
• Fall Protection and CPR certified (preferred).
• Certifications from major hardware manufacturers or AAADM Certification (preferred).

Work Environment

• Engage in commercial-level construction projects in the field, using power tools and hand tools. Projects are located across San Diego County, offering diverse and dynamic work environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
