About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Internal Communications to play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of effective communication strategies that enhance the organization's culture and support the successful implementation of its strategic plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams focused on internal and culture communications, as well as transition communications for strategic aspirations. This leadership position requires a professional with a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 7 years' experience in leading a communications or public relations team, with a proven track record in delivering successful internal and external communication campaigns. The role demands strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a matrix-management environment and maintain the highest standards of ethics and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have a background in corporate communications, particularly in internal communications, and will be adept at providing strategic direction and supervision to communication directors and team members. Collaboration with system and market leadership, as well as with key internal stakeholders, is essential to ensure company-wide alignment for internal communications. The Executive Director will also be expected to provide communication counsel and support for executive leadership, and to actively serve as a role model for the organization's mission, values, and service standards. A Master's degree and additional certifications in the field are preferred, and the candidate should have strong working relationships with communication leaders in the relevant markets.
