Low Voltage Project Manager

Job description:

Responsibilities

• Represent the company in a professional manner and appearance.
• Oral and written communication with management, clients, other project managers, job foremen, and subcontractors.
• Overall day to day operations of all jobs assigned, including subcontracted work.
• Communication and updating of all job progress schedules, change order logs, etc. with Lead Technicians.
• Identify, manage, resolve and communicate issues to management.
• Ensure adequate job site supervision.
• Blueprint/drawing/cut sheet, material and associated project documentation review and communication as required.
• Full understanding of the drawing and specification.
• Communicate with job lead technicians.
• Perform take-off and drawing comparison for possible coordination conflict between drawings.
• Review and coordinate all TC/E/A drawings at project inception.
• Attend all Project Sub contractor and client meetings as required.
• Coordinate all job related activities with the head office, including but not limited to:

1. Bill of Materials

2. Approved Estimate

3. Project Drawings

4. Schedule Delivery

5. Change Order Identification and Documentation

• Ensure all workers have the required tools and Personal Protective Equipment, (PPE).
• Ensure timesheets/Time and Attendance entries are updated daily, completed and submitted on a weekly basis.
• Ensure all jobs have the required and appropriate levels of manpower and perform at optimum levels of efficiency.
• Ensure/enforce professional job site attire for all workers, work shoes, shirts, hard hats when required, etc.
• Ensure/enforce company safety requirements and weekly tool box talks.
• Identification of potential supervisory candidates.
• Submit labor and material requirements to estimating for change orders.
• Monitor/control costs.
• Support the development, and implementation of company installation standards ,practices and procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics and equipment management teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager in the low voltage industry.
• At least 3 years of experience working with and developing solid professional relationships with union employees.
• OSHA 30 Certified in Construction. OSHA 62 Preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
• Some experience working in time and attendance in ADP.
• Valid/Clean NYS Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills between other management, office and field staff.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Ability to problem solve and multi-task.
• Flexibility with schedule.
