Seeking a board-certified or eligible Nephrology Physician to join a physician-owned private practice serving the Hudson Valley area across outpatient clinics, hospitals, and dialysis centers. The role involves rotating week-long blocks among multiple locations, providing outpatient care, hospital rounding, and overseeing dialysis center staff with full clinical support. Compensation includes a competitive base salary, sign-on bonus, malpractice insurance, and benefits, with flexible scheduling options and a collaborative team environment.

This practice operates out of 3 outpatient clinics, 6 hospitals, and 7 dialysis centers. All locations are within a small 30-minute driving radius that encompasses Poughkeepsie, Kingston, and Newburgh. Providers are assigned to locations in week-long blocks to offer continuity of schedule.

COMPANY PROFILE:
This physician-owned-and-led private nephrology practice has been serving patients in the Hudson Valley since 2012. They directly operate 3 outpatient clinics in Poughkeepsie, Kingston, and Newburgh, and also support nephrology services at 13 local hospitals and dialysis centers. They boast a staff of 8 physicians and 4 nurse practitioners, along with a robust support structure of administrative and clinical team members. Their services include treatments for acute kidney injuries, chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, kidney stones, electrolyte disorders, high blood pressure, and more. They are currently hiring due to growth and look forward to welcoming a new physician to their collaborative team environment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new physician will collaborate with the leadership team to craft a rotating block schedule that is mutually beneficial and ensures proper work/life balance.

Day-to-day responsibilities will vary by location. Physicians are fully supported by clinical assistants, have access to ample resources, and use an EHR.

Typical duties in the outpatient clinics include (but are negotiable):

- 20 patients per day
- outpatient nephrology care
- consultations
- follow-up visits
- PowerCharts EHR
- 9:00am to 3:30pm

Typical duties in the hospitals include (but are negotiable):

- volume varies by hospital
- rounding in 1 or 2 hospitals per day
- consultations
- supported by nurse practitioners
- no admission duties

Typical duties in the dialysis centers include (but are negotiable):

- oversight of nurse practitioners
- dedicated administrative time
- little to no direct patient care (care is provided by nurse practitioners)
- 8:00am to 4:00pm

Typically working in week-long blocks, providers rotate on a regular schedule between the outpatient clinics, hospitals, and dialysis centers. All locations are in a small geographic area (30-minute driving radius).

REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified / Eligible, Nephrology
