Sr. Technical Recruiter at firstPro, Inc We’re looking for a Cloud Architect who can think in both sky-level blueprints and nuts-and-bolts detail. This role centers on hybrid cloud design, next-generation infrastructure, and guiding teams toward resilient, scalable architectures. You’ll work fully remote under standard business hours, shaping platforms that blend public cloud, private cloud, and virtualization technologies into a single, strong spine. This role is a 6-18 month contract and can be done remotely. Local candidates strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Architect, design, and maintain hybrid-cloud environments across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and on-prem infrastructure. Lead enterprise-scale cloud migrations, focusing on resilience, performance, and long-term maintainability. Develop cloud-oriented and infrastructure architecture patterns that support scaled-out growth and modern product development. Drive strategy and best practices in virtualization, storage, and Nutanix-based systems (Nutanix experience is mandatory). Apply design thinking principles to improve workflows, user experiences, and operational efficiency. Provide mentorship to key development and engineering personnel, preparing them for future architectural leadership. Collaborate closely with teams to shape solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure architectural alignment across projects. Oversee data management practices that support secure, reliable, and high-availability environments. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with hybrid-cloud architecture. Expertise with Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. Deep knowledge of Nutanix clusters, virtualization, and enterprise storage. Proven experience leading cloud or infrastructure migrations. Background in cloud-oriented architecture, scaled-out system design, and infrastructure resilience. Familiarity with design thinking methodologies. Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide others.
