Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) needed in Lawrence, KS.

Salary and Benefits

• The pay for this position is $135,000 - $151,250 per year based on experience

Responsibilities

• 4 10s during training then 3 12s after

• 4-8 patients per day on average
• On Call (By Phone Only)
• Weekend Shifts available as well
• Report directly to the Chief Medical Officer
• Working with patients ages 18+ in a 24/7 Treatment & Recovery facility (16 beds)
• Completes initial and ongoing psychiatric evaluations
• Documents care, including admissions, progress notes, and discharges
• Prescribes medications and oversees patient education and consent
• Coordinates care with internal teams and external providers
• Reviews legal cases for involuntary treatment as needed
• Ensures timely and accurate documentation per TRC and regulatory standards
• Maintains reliable attendance and performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Clear and active PMHNP license in the state of Kansas
• Crisis & Treatment experience highly preferred
• Minimum of one year of inpatient or emergency room experience required
• DEA license
