Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a reliable and hard-working Route Helper in Pineville, NC. In this team-oriented and physically active role, you will be responsible for supporting recycling collection services by assisting the driver with pickups and ensuring the timely and safe collection of materials. In a Route Helper job, you’ll be responsible for:
Riding along assigned routes in a recycling truck to assist with residential and/or commercial recycling collection
Loading recyclable materials into the truck in a safe and efficient manner
Communicating with the driver and customers when needed
Following all safety guidelines and company procedures throughout your shift
What you’ll need:
Ability to work early morning shifts and in varying weather conditions
Good physical stamina to lift, push, and pull materials throughout the day
A team-focused attitude and willingness to take direction
Prior experience in general labor, outdoor work, or route assistance is a plus
