A leading media and entertainment company is seeking a Temporary Senior Tax Analyst for a consulting assignment focused on federal, state, and local income tax compliance and provision review. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in corporate and partnership tax, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

• Oversee quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions, monitoring key deadlines.

• Review interim and year-end tax provisions, focusing on current taxable income calculations and ASC 740 deferred balance validations.

• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to gather and analyze data for income tax filings and forecasts.

• Gain an in-depth understanding of the business operations within assigned divisions.

• Respond to tax notices and liaise with tax authorities to resolve inquiries and disputes.

• Manage day-to-day responsibilities of tax team members and/or consultants on assigned projects.

• Provide tax-related support to corporate and operating groups across the organization.

• Assist with ongoing tax audits and planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 5+ years of domestic income tax compliance experience, preferably with time spent in public accounting at a nationally recognized firm.

• Strong knowledge of corporate and partnership tax regulations.

• Solid understanding of tax accounting concepts, including ASC 740.

• Skilled in tax technical research and interpretation.

• Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and logical formulas.

• Proven ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting.

• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset.
