Role Overview:

The Tank Wash Buffer will perform the operation of buffing stains and residue inside tanks by climbing stairs and ladders, working in and out of tanks by buffing and scrubbing using manual and powered hand tools to accomplish the task of removing stains, residue, and cleaning of liquid transport tanks.

Position Responsibilities:

• Clean tanks by climbing in and out of the tanks, and then buffing, scrubbing,drying or by using whatever approved process is necessary to work on the tank until it is clean
• Other duties as assigned
• Operate machinery used in buffing the inside of fluid transporting tanks
• Use powered buffers weighing up to 15lbs in standing, kneeling, and overhead body I

Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in an industrial environment
• Ability to use hand tools, have a good mechanical aptitude, the ability to move and lift heavy objects, operate precision measuring tools and equipment in industrial production manufacturer
• Ability to use fire suppression methods in industrial emergencies
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks.
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years: Cleaning experience
