Pay Range: $70 $73 per hour (W2)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team in Saranac Lake, NY . The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations using high-frequency sound waves to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions. This is a 13+ week contract assignment with the possibility of extension based on performance and facility needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functioning.
Evaluate images for clarity, accuracy, and diagnostic value.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to deliver accurate diagnostic information.
Maintain patient records and adhere to HIPAA and facility compliance standards.
Follow all infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.

Certification: ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or ARRT (S) certification required.
Experience: Minimum of 12 years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technician in a hospital or clinical setting.
Licensure: Active New York State license (if applicable).
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Schedule:
10-hour day shifts
4 days per week (specific schedule may vary)
