Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator & Project Manager to support capital projects in the planning and execution of semiconductor fabrication (fab) facilities. This role is critical in accurately forecasting construction costs, developing budgets, and providing cost-control insights for highly complex and technically demanding semiconductor manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cleanroom construction, MEP systems, and semiconductor industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for semiconductor fab construction projects, including cleanrooms, utilities, sub-fab systems, and support facilities
• Collaborate with engineering, design, procurement, and project management teams to gather and validate project scope and technical requirements
• Analyze architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications to develop quantity take-offs and unit cost assessments
• Maintain and update databases of historical cost data, unit pricing, and construction benchmarks specific to semiconductor facilities
• Evaluate contractor and supplier bids, conduct cost analysis, and support negotiations
• Develop comprehensive cost reports, budget forecasts, and variance analyses for management review
• Support change order evaluations, risk assessments, and contingency planning throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide recommendations for cost-effective alternatives and value engineering
• Stay current with market trends, materials pricing, and labor rates, especially in the high-tech and semiconductor sectors
• Support capital planning processes and present findings to internal stakeholders and executive leadership

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with at least 2 years in high-tech, cleanroom, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimating software (e.g., RSMeans, WinEst, CostOS, Sage Estimating)
• Familiarity with semiconductor fab systems including HVAC, CDA, process piping, ultra-pure water, and electrical infrastructure
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy

Preferred:

• Experience with Design-Build or EPCM project delivery methods
• Understanding of semiconductor industry-specific requirements and standards (e.g., SEMI standards)
• Certification such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), or membership in AACE International

Work Environment:

• Occasional site visits to semiconductor fab construction sites
• Hybrid or on-site work arrangement, depending on project phase
• Fast-paced, cross-functional team setting in a high-precision, high-stakes industry
