About the Role

The Product Manager will play a key role in driving the strategic direction, development, and execution of Ariat’s Workwear apparel product line. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with design, development, sales, marketing, and sourcing teams to create compelling, innovative, and functional products that align with brand goals and meet customer needs in industrial and trade environments.

• Defining and executing seasonal product strategies and line plans for the Workwear apparel category.
• Partnering with Design and Development teams to brief and develop innovative, high-performance products that meet quality, price, and timing targets.
• Participating in and leading fit sessions to ensure products meet performance, comfort, and aesthetic standards across a diverse range of body types and use cases.
• Managing product packaging development in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring packaging aligns with brand standards, compliance, sustainability goals, and consumer expectations.
• Coordinating with the Creative and Marketing teams to support product photography needs, ensuring accurate representation of product features, functionality, and fit for e-commerce, catalogs, and marketing campaigns.
• Collaborating with Design, Production, and Sourcing teams on product costing, ensuring products meet margin targets while maintaining quality and performance standards.
• Collaborating with the Planning team to develop seasonal product forecasts, aligning on sales targets, inventory strategy, and demand planning by style and category.
• Conducting competitive analysis, consumer insights, and market research to identify trends, gaps, and new opportunities in the workwear space.
• Managing product lifecycle from concept through commercialization, including proto reviews, sample tracking, and milestone calendar adherence.
• Collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies, including storytelling, pricing, positioning, and merchandising.
• Analyzing sales data and consumer feedback to evaluate product performance and inform future line development.
• Acting as a brand ambassador and category expert for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintaining and managing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and tools with up-to-date information.
• Traveling to various retail environments, trade shows, job sites, and consumer-facing events to gain firsthand insight into customer needs, use cases, and market dynamics (10–15% travel per year).
• Other duties as assigned.

About You

• This is a hybrid role. Required to spend a minimum of three (3) full working days per week at Ariat headquarters.
• 4+ years of experience in product management or merchandising, preferably in apparel or workwear categories.
• Strong understanding of technical apparel, materials, construction, and functionality.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Highly detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for product innovation and consumer-driven solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Product Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
• Knowledge of the workwear industry and target consumer (e.g., tradespeople, industrial workers, ranchers).
• A balance of creativity and commercial acumen.
• Passion for the Ariat brand and the outdoors/workwear lifestyle.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 per year.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
