The Speech Therapist provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a home health setting. They develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and counsel patients and families to improve communication and functional abilities. This role requires relevant licensure, clinical experience, and adherence to health and safety standards while delivering patient-centered care.
The Speech Therapist 2 assesses, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders. May recommend communication devices/aids as needed. Keeps records, monitors progress, and counsels patients and their family members. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
